Trustworthy auto mechanic Needed San Diego CA

My daughter recently moved out to San Diego with her 2006 Saab 9-3 and she having issues with the car not really moving for about 20 seconds. I believe the transmission might be slipping. What I am looking for is a trustworthy mechanic in the area. Any suggestions? Would be appreciated, thanks.

AAMCO in San Diego, this tranny is in a lot of different cars and it could just be low on fluid, but not an easy dipstick to get at. Valve packs are fairly easy to change if that is the problem and estimates might still be free.

Every time I post this link I need to check my old postings to find it http://akpphelp.ru/images/contents/f...0SN%2051SN.pdf Will tell you everything you need to know to talk intelligently with the guys.

PS: With the GM part number the shift selector switch is less than $50, so don't go spending $500. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Automat...=mtr#vi-ilComp

Thought Iíd update my situation. First off thanks to diggers! Because of him I have located Angieís list recommended mechanic (Woods automotive) for future service.
Solution: I had the daughter thing go to AutoZone to plug in a diagnostic tool to get an idea of what was going on. The code implied a throttle body issue. So the counter person recommended a can of throttle body spray. Borrowing their bag of tools she was able to spray down the throttle body and wipe out the gunk. The hesitation has since subsided. Yaa-hoo!!
    Thanks again Digger
