Lots of oil buring
I have started leaving large black clouds of oil smoke behind my 2001 SE (3.0L V6) as of recent. I suspect the turbo and have a rebuild kit coming.
But in the off chance it is not the turbo, I started looking at the Crank case ventilation system. It all looks clear. The hoses are all in tact and the tube to the intake pipe is clear and the check valve in the vacuum line is working.
But I have noticed that I have no suction if I take the oil fill cap off or pull the dip stick. Most cars that I have worked on will pull a fairly significant vacuum if these are opened while the engine is running.
So what am I missing here?
