2010 9-3x - Locked out - no warning

80 degree weather, drove car, parked it, came back hour later, both keys do not open car, manual key does not open car. Assume car battery is dead. Anyone had this experience and how was it fixed? Locksmith using transponder to open car > replace car battery???

Call AAA and tell them you are locked out with a dead battery. They can slip a flexible rubber device to hook around the manual up down push button inside the window to unlock the door. Once the 9-3 is unlocked open the hood and jump the battery to start the car. In some areas AAA will bring and install a replacement battery. Just let AAA know what you need. I was surprised how easy it was for AAA to unlock the 9-3.

Does the manual key turn the lock or is the lock frozen?

After 6 years of never using the manual key the battery to my wife's car went dead. With several tries over a few weeks I was able to get the manual door lock unstuck. The lock guys prefer graphite over WD40. Caution I did break a manual key at the rubber base, not the metal part. It was not easy to get the driver's door lock unstuck.

Follow-up, yesterday was almost 90, car sat in sun, today temp half of that and rainy. Manual key worked today, didn't yesterday. Has anyones Saab had "heatstroke" before, heat is only thing I can think that is different. No problem in any of the miserable cold winter we have had.
