If your replacement ECM came new, reman, or from the same year car and you have the Saab coil packs and not aftermarket, look to the ION module for your knock problem. If you have aftermarket coil packs, put the Saab coils back on the car. If your replacement came used and didn't come from a 2006, plan on spending several hours to a day making changes to spark adjust settings until you hit on the right advance or retard to match your car.

Put OEM coil packs and change the CPS , the CEL turns on for the first 10 to 15 mins when I started the car , but stay off till next I start the car , it was a used ECM that the seller of the car gave me and not sure from what year it came off from , right now the car still pings but a lot less than before

Because the light goes out when the engine warms up it's time for a scan tool. Doesn't need to be Tech 2, does need to be smarter than a low cost code reader. Could be thermal active electrical component that works better warm than cold, could be wire connection that expands to make better connection warm than cold, could be temp sensor not working like it should. Need to see what the computer does and reading the inputs requires a scan tool that display operational parameters. you should be able to borrow or rent a good scan tool from an auto parts store.
