Parasitic Draw on 9-5 engine management system
I have a 2002 Saab 9-5 linear 2.3t with a recently replaced battery and alternator. The car has a fluctuating parasitic draw (100-500 mA) on fuse #17 which is the engine management system. The alternator charges the battery when running but the battery will drain when parked and off. I have been disconnecting the battery when parked. Although the engine runs normally and does not have error codes, my first thought is that the ECM may have a bad circuit causing the parasitic draw. I have cleaned and lubricated the key cylinder a potential source of the draw and that works normally. It doesn’t make sense to me that any part of the engine management system, including the ECM, would be turned on drawing power when the ignition is off. Am I on the right path suspecting the ECM as the problem or does anyone have any suggestions here?

the plugs and sockets of the ECM could be the problem or check the main connector under the hood on the firewall
