Either fix the water pump or drive it til it breaks. Then you will know. I have done both techniques on different situations. I kind of like fixing things before they break. I bought a Gates water pump on Amazon for $38. Not the most expensive, but should work for a few years. it's a somewhat easy fix. Half of my family lives just north of you in Mooresville. Good luck on which ever choice you make.

If you change your pump, may as well change your serpentine belt.

Small world, and thanks Pali, I appreciate your help. I'll let you know what I decide. I definitely think it's time to replace the belt.

This was tricky to self-diagnose, the leak was playing tricks on me, and not once did it get hot, but I stopped driving her once I was losing ridiculous rates of coolant.

A lot was going on with the pump, and it was the original, so I had the whole thing replaced along with other coolant components (thermostat, coolant hoses belt, tensioner pulley, etc.), An Indie that gives me diagnose and repair tips did it for me. Didn't DIM (do it myself) this time, but I was disappointed that I didn't, sure would've saved a lot of money if I did. I'm super happy it's all taken care of though. When I got her back, I bought new wipers, changed the oil, gave her a good bath, and told her I loved her. I appreciate!

Thanks for your help and time, Pali7, Closet Intellectual (:-). I really appreciate it.
