    Where this vacuum hose goes?

Hello. Car is 9-5 2,3 from year 2004. After the change of turbo, we noticed that something else is wrong.
    1. The PCV check valve (valve cover to throttle body) is broken. Have tried to replace with smaller one until the correct one will be found.
    2. A smaller rubber tube from the throttle body (it starts slightly above the bigger one that on which the PCV check valve is ) is going to nowhere - it means, another end is open... Here is the picture.

Can somebody tell where that one tube must be connected? Thanks!

I believe that would connect under the black box on the firewall (upper right in the pictures). Look for an open connection under there.

    Hello,
We have checked that Black box. You were right - there was clear place where just the short piece of tube was on the inlet. So, we removed it and connected the open end of the tube which starts at the throttle body.
    Thanks again!

By the way, car is again out of use... Starter motor almost dyed. Today we finally removed it (not so easy!). Checked with a battery - sometimes rotates, but most attempts - no rotation at all (magnet is working). A new one is already ordered. Good starter will be extremely important during a cold winter (Finland!). Actually the battery is also must be replaced, because the present one is extremely weak already (we tested started also with a good battery).

Replace all your hose one at a time with blue silicone. Easy to see and will not crack up. It will come off again.

Replace all the vacuum hoses with what ever colour silicon you like. As it happens you can bypass the valve on the firewall, it serves no useful purpose* except to add three junctions to the vacuum system. Having the compressor bypass valve controlled directly by manifold vacuum makes for a sharper response.

*The valve on the firewall is supposed to smooth the operation of the bypass valve but the 9000, using a variant of the same engine, didn't have the additional valve and smoothness was never a problem (especially when the TCS worked).

Additionally you can dismantle your starter, cleaning up and change brushes and regulator, you have one already on your own.
