Ok, Saab sold the car division around 2000 but the name still means a lot to many.

Boeing and Saab are developing a new plane that won a contract to become the next USAF trainer. It is anticipated that hundreds will be built, perhaps 1,000 over the program's lifetime.

Saab and Boeing designed, developed, and flight-tested two all-new, purpose-built jets - proving out the system’s design and repeatability in manufacturing and training capability.
