Center channel direct replacement

So all my factory speakers are blown. The surrounds have designated along time ago. The center speaker is the one that has been hard for me to find something that would fit.

I found some Memphis audio that is a direct drop in.




As you can see it fits perfectly. I didn’t want to cut up the factory wires so I cut the connector of the Saab speaker. The. Just solder the wires from the speaker directly to it. Fits great and sounds a lot better then before. I measured the impedance and it showed 3.4ohms at the connector. A little off from the factory I think. I didn’t think to measure the stock one before I cut the plug off.

That looks like an inexpensive replacement for $40 a pair. How is the sound quality?

I have been visiting their site, very nice build and very helpful those mounting diagram, they joined to your purchase.. seems very serious indeed

The sound quality isn’t jaw dropping but decent. Right now the other speakers are still the stock ones so the sound is still muddy from them. Just changing the center one did make the sound a lot cleaner then before.

I have some 3 way components on their way for the doors and dash corners. The Memphis will just add to the center stage once those are installed.
