Hey, first post here, not to sure of the format, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I've been working on a 1984 Saab 900s sedan, which is almost up and running, but when we placed a battery in the vehicle, the parking lights and the tail lights turned on and are staying on. The key is out of the ignition, and all light switches are off, yet the parking and tail lights remain on. My best guess is that the switches are old and stuck in the "ON" position, and was wondering if anyone knows where these switches, in particular, are located, and what else it could be and how to fix it. I'm getting into mechanics, but electrical work is still new to me. Thanks ahead of time.

A lot of things could have been done to a 35 year old car and then again it is probably just a stuck switch. The light switch is the big twist switch above and just left of the tach.

Thanks for the clarity, I wasn't sure if the switch was all one unit. Going to pull it this weekend and see if that turns them off, this is a serious learning experience
