Roof not opening

Hi does anyone know why my roof is not opening, as the SID says close boot, but boot is closed, not drove car for two months, battery seems fine, any help please.
2008 Auto 1.8 vector convertible.

You have to manually open the roof following the instructions sheets and complete the open locking with the switch normally. Then re-close the roof thru the switch as always. Will works.

Hi! I have the same issue. I done as MarcoMaxi suggested and it worked... but only for 4 days. For next couple days I opened and closed manually hoping that it help but it doesn't.


How it look like:
Key in position: ON
- no warnings on SID
- let's open roof!
- warning on SID: close boot
- let's go walk! I opened boot, closed boot
- let's try again: warning "close boot"


What's interesting: I don't have any issue with boot open/close sensor. When i open boot i see warning on SID. When I close boot warning dissapear.


I spent some time reading WIS and i don't have any idea what to do. Information to STC module (565) about boot status goes via I-BUS. So, why SID show me real status when I open and close boot and go crazy when I try to open roof?


"Boot lid closed
The control module receives information that the boot lid is closed via the I-bus. If the boot lid is open and an attempt is made to operate the soft top, its operation will be stopped and the message "CLOSE TRUNK LID" shown on SID. The boot lid must be closed or it will collide with the soft top cover when it is opened."
