Low coolant warning but coolant full

    2006 9-3 Aero 2.8T
Only mod is the Stage 0 Vtune. Replaced all coils and upgraded spark plugs before tuning.

Found out the radiator had corrosion on the plastic tank and was slowly leaking. So I had it replaced. After getting it fixed, now every time the car gets up to operating temp, the low coolant light comes on like clockwork. I keep checking the overflow and it's never low. Always just under the high level mark.

Overfill cap is a 20psi version and new. Tank has no visible leaks or cracks. I do notice some lack of power now. Occasionally the car pulls great, but since the radiator, mostly it feels lacking some. No codes at all.

Any thoughts on what is going on?

Maybe unrelated, but recently I was throwing a P2187 code. Lean condition at idle. After trying several things, I found that the o-ring on the PVC valve was blown out on the back of the intake. Are replacing that, no more code.

Level sensor is in the overflow tank and it's probably sticky with crud. Try cleaning before replacing.

    2 things

    1. Should I just suck out the coolant from the tank, remove it, then clean the sensor? Or can I empty it and clean the sensor without removing the tank?

    2. Would this cause any of the sluggishness I'm experiencing in the acceleration sometimes?

Don't know anything about stage 0V tune so no idea why you would have occasional sluggish acceleration. Not much for working room even for small hands and do suggest removing tank for cleaning. But do what works best for you, it is a Chevy part and there are plenty of show you how videos to do it in and out of the car.
