Question Where to buy a turn signal light socket for 2001 9-5 wagon? Having trouble!

My rear turn signal, passenger side, has a faulty socket. I have tried many places, and haven't had luck. the local Saab dealer said they were "out-of-stock", and he gave me an 800 number which didn't work. One place was telling me that it's a whole "console", but that isn't the case with my car. It's a simple pair of plastic sockets, one black ( tail light) and one orange (turn signal). The little metal spring-like piece broke off in the base of the socket, and an electrician pal told me that it'd be nearly impossible to solder something in the base, due to the plastic housing. Both sockets have wiring into plastic clip, that then plugs into a larger plastic female type of electrical connector. I am getting honked at when slowing down to turn right, and it cannot pass inspection! Help, please.

Let me look at my parts car, I can probably snip off a pigtail and mail it to you.

Easy peasy! I pulled the harness you need off one of the rear lights in the parts car. The light assembly is still totally useful as a spare for me, since I live in the non-salting, not Arizona-hot Columbia Gorge and the odds of my car's light sockets failing before the car itself is past its shelf life are too low to care. The odds of some distracted tourist punching out one of my taillights while parking? 50/50 if I'm lucky...

I'll throw it in a flat rate Priority mail envelope Monday, unless you're FedEx overnight desperate for it.

On an unrelated note, fresh roma tomatoes run through the juicer do not make a great base for bloody mary mix. I'm sticking to canned tomato juice from here on. On the up side, I can probably salvage this by going down a road to something salsa-like. And in the win column, my split pea and ham soup came out perfect!

    Cheers,
    T

    Thank you Very Much, T!

Let me know what your costs are, and put some cilantro in that fresh salsa, that'll help any kind of tomato!
You have my POB 53, in Unionville NY 10988?

    Saab fans are alright!

You're the man, T! I have been encouraged enough to invest more in my Saab-y. a new alternator and 2 pulleys put in today; I bought two rotors and pads for the rear brakes, need to get them on; picked up Napa 5w-30 semi synthetic oil and a napa Gold filter to change the oil.
