Hey SAAB wizards!
This one is 130 dollars compared to my local NAPA asking 240, but is it too much risk for the savings?
Thanks,
Tunk

You often get you what you pay for. I haven't heard of the Premium Gear brand before but already sounds like cheap Chinese parts.
I had the pleasure of replacing the alternator in my 9-5 and it is not a job you want do again just because you bought a cheap part that may fail again within a year.
I got a rebuilt Bosch alternator from eEuroparts and it is only a little bit more at $199. Still less expensive than NAPA.

Premier Gear makes alternators?????
I guess that if they will put their name on it, I would take a chance on it.

Good to hear, Digger, but I went with the costlier one.

One could also rebuild their own alternator for MY2002-2007 for $65.00: Maniac Electric Motors.
