2006 Saab 9-5 Ignition problems

Hi, all I have a 2006 Saab 9-5 that continues to have problems. Today when I was just about to start and hunt down my airbag warning short, the car wouldn't start and had the key not recognized come up. I have tried using a different key and holding the open button and turn it to crank but it starts to but wont actually crank over. Does anyone have any other solutions for this? I don't want to pay for it to have it towed to a shop when it seems like there will be an easy way to start it. Also it was running moments before this happened. The only thing I did after I turned it off was check my fuses and take the cover off around my steering wheel. Thanks for any info. Also once I get the car to start again does this mean I will have to get the keys to the deal to have them recognized?

Do you have check engine in the panel? Any error? It sounds like CIM Modul to me.

Yes I do have a check engine light on, and it has been on for months because of the emissions system.
