    No Power steering.

Hello. I just got a cheap 9-3 vector with 2.0T (210hp) and the reason i got it cheap was the power steering does not work. There is fluid in the reservoir. So i can the pump it's self be bad?

Does it make a whining nose when you turn the wheel?

Reman pumps are relatively inexpensive, it's the euro blend fluid that adds considerably to the cost and the wrong fluid mixed in with this stuff kills pumps. Better plan on getting 3 liters, 1.75 to flush the system and maybe another liter if regular power steering or worse yet tranny fluid was used to top off the tank and stayed in the system long enough to ruin the rack seals.

Found the problem. The problem is the coil bearing is bad causing the spring to bind/wind up and making clunk and the steering wheel stiff.
