This is on the low end for MPG, check DIC, fuel filter, MAF, and fuel pump.

Depending on how much of your driving is city, residential short trips, or rush hour traffic, 23mpg could be good, great, or low. I average 23 around town, 29 when I go out of town and 31 on cross country drives with the cruise control set to 75mph.

How you drive does make a difference. I did average cross country mileage on a trip to Milwaukee and expected to get the same on the way home, didn't expect to get stuck in a complete stand still ten feet from the parking ramp exit the day that Pence showed up for the Harley Davidson anniversary. All the roads were shut down and who knows how far the west bound traffic from Chicago was backed up and when the cops let the traffic move again, it moved. When I got to the freeway the slow lane Milwaukee to Madison was moving at 95 and 110 in the left lane wasn't fast enough for some of the people behind me. An hour of 3mph mixed with 100mph driving didn't really hurt my average mileage, but the next fill was west of Madison and traffic from Madison continued to move at about 85 right up to the road construction east of Hudson. The mpg for that tank full was 39 and even the next couple of fills had a higher average than my usual average and at 85 my Saab gets really good mileage.

Same for me when I had my 04 Aero, 85 was the optimal speed for MPG.

At some point however, you will need to change your pump OP, especially if it's never been changed. Take a look at the usual suspects first, if they all check out, your pump could be going. If you only drive in the city, you will see 26 - 28 tops, so 23 could be dirty MAF and low tire PSI.

Still building mine up to a good standard so looking for estimates to know if i'm on the right track. All new plugs, ignition coils, oil and filters throughout. Runs nicely (except for the slow idle) but haven't been on a good run yet, just small journeys but loving the sportwagon.
Really appreciating all the help from the site aswell.

Try cleaning the MAF, and reset your ecu. I take it by "filters", you've dropped in a fresh fuel filter as well?
