AC problems

About 20 years ago I spent several days pulling upholstery, panels and carpet included, looking at every inch of the wiring harness inside the car for a radio problem that was caused by a bad transmission switch.

Not a crazy thought and not that air conditioning isn't an accessory, but the acc fuse is for accessories, not automatic climate control. I would bet this wire was cut to eliminate a problem that someone didn't want to spend money to fix and with used cars who knows what little convenience items the previous owner was willing to give up to save a couple hundred bucks. Personally I would still be looking under the hood, or to the controller itself and that means test equipment.

Hi there and happy almost Memorial Day. Thanks for your reply, greatly appreciated. That makes more sense, acc =accessories ok dumb blonde moment lol! Well the back fog lamp works not that I cared but all the wires are attached and working! 🤔! Boyfriend and I Found a broken blend shaft on passenger side to the door, the one that is blue closest to the dashboard radio, the yellow one is fine and that is the one that controls the levels floor, vent and defrost. That’s the update! I will be back to report.

Quick question to make sure we have the correct relay as we check with a multimeter and we did get 12.8 volts at relay location and at the wiring harness plug connector passenger side of the radiator
