Saab 9-5 2.3t "n/a" error code
My CEL came on this morning, so I whipped out the OBD scanner and it tells me I have 1 DTC. Scroll down to read what it is, expecting maybe p1134 or p1312. To my surprise, it says "n/a". Anybody had this before or have any idea what it could be?

Basic OBD code readers only read standard powertrain codes, all manufactures have specific codes that require specific code set and Saab has a lot of them. Also most late model cars loght the engine light for non powertrain problems that are not standard OBD and not readable by standard OBD2 readers.

If its a hard code that would be the next best step, but there are lots of soft codes that will clear themselves if the problem doesn't reoccur within a set number of drive cycles. Before spending money on the indy, pull the battery cable to reset everything and find out if this is a phantom fault or real error message.
