No start, no crank, nothing 2001 9-5 SE V6 Wagon

I went to start my car after shopping and it wouldn't start. The battery is brand new even trying to jump it, still nothing but a single click sound. There was no issue until that last stop. Could someone please give me some suggestions on what the issue is? Very frustrated. ������

Sounds like the starter solenoid isn't making properly. On the 9-5 the solenoid also engages the pinion with the ring gear on the flywheel , until it is engaged the starter won't turn. If it were a manual I would suggest putting it in gear and rocking it backwards and forwards to shift the flywheel slightly but you can't do that with an auto. Probably needs a new starter motor, sorry.

Is possible to just replace the Solenoid? Or do I have to replace the whole starter?

They are a single assembly so, as you have to remove the whole lot anyway, you might as well just get a replacement starter.
