Buying a 9-3 2.0T Automatic low mileage - Advice needed please
Hi
I'm new to the forum I'm after some advice (or maybe reassurance)I have owned a Saab 9-3 petrol 2.0t 2008 Automatic for two years bought it with 28,000miles on the clock it's now done 66.000. I love the car. I now have the opportunity to buy another car of exactly the same spec 2009 but with only 11,000 miles on the clock it's genuine mileage. Low mileage sounds great but I know low mileage doesn't always equal a good car. What do people think?Last edited by DCoop; 31 January 2020 at 15:40. Reason: Need quick reply

Low mileage cars are usually taken care of, maintained according to schedule and often garaged as well. You often can tell pretty quickly what shape a low-mileage car is in and this is not really Saab specific.
If the car and seller feel right after you look at it and take it for a test drive, you probably know what to do.

1,000 miles/year?? That’s definitely low! I think it will definitely depend on how that mileage was put on. It would be much worse to have 11,000 miles the first year of ownership and then sit from then to now, as opposed to actually driving 1,000 miles every year. Either way, if the car was garage kept it must be in immaculate shape! I’d be interested in seeing pictures. Let us know how it goes!

I bought the car! serviced every year except for last year because it had only covered 600 miles. Mileage evenly spread over the previous years. Its in first class condition the back seats look like they have never been sat on. Its like having a new car.
