Hi
Can anyone help me with finding information from Saab that confirms that the right hand reverse light lens on my 95 NG Saloon is purely for aesthetics and there is no bulb behind the glass (the left hand bulb is fine.)
The UK annual vehicle MOT test now says 'one or two may be fitted but all must work', hence my request for something official from Saab.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Geoff. What is WIS?

WIS helpfully says that the BCM signals the lights to turn on!

I have had my MOT done yesterday on my 2010 NG Saab 9-5 Vector and it passed. No mention of the second reverse light.

Thanks again Geoff. Forgive my ignorance on this- cars aren't really my thing -, if I point the MOT centre to the WIS will that be enough for them to see that the right hand reverse light is purely cosmetic and pass the car?

I assume that your RH reverse is also purely cosmetic???

Annoyingly Saab only put an LED on one side. If you want two lights you either have to source a European right hand side light cluster or buy a kit and amend yourself (not overly easy). Personaly I like symmetry and would love two, but I think it's too much hassle. I can't take the light cluster out, amend the insides and replace all in one day. I can't have the car off the road as I am a shift worker and rely on the car for transport.
