Clear plastic bra/protectant removal
Hello to all
My 2006 9-3, has the clear plastic film on the front end and it has been on there for I think since new. I have tried a heat gun on low and I cant peel off pieces. I can only remove small chips or strings. In addition to that the adhesive that is left on, please help me with some to get that crap off. I have tried so many over the counter products and no help. Goo gone takes forever and a fifth of the can I have used and only remove a 2" area. Any help with this would be great.
Thanks

Several different clear bra products that could be on the car and when it comes to removal, what works for one doesn't work for all. This is the picture is worth a thousand words of problem description and nothing works to describe what your fingers feel so the best I can do is point you to a couple of vids and hope you recognize which clear bra you are trying to remove.

@ Digger..... thanks for the links, tried many things and products. Even the rubber wheel for the drill, I was able to find a front bumper in another state as a donor. I drove the 5 hours each way to get it, it was worth the ride. The front clip cost me $35.00 thank you again..

My 2006 9-3 SportCombi had window tint installed by the dealer. I didn't like the dark look of it and figured it would be pretty easy to take off. As Clarkson would say "How hard can it be?"
The top layer came off fairly easy but ripped many times. And then came the part of removing the adhesive... worst.job.ever...!

To remove adhesive from the glass is good to use acetone. But it can remove paint so it can't be used on painted parts.
