This morning I broke the key to my 2002 Saab 9-5.
I ordered a new blank, to arrive in a couple days.
My plan is to take out the insides of the old fob and put it in the new fob.
My question is, do I need to program anything else? Has anyone else ran into this problem of a broken key?
Any advice would be helpful. Thank you all.

I bought a key from EEuroparts that was cut by them based upon my VIN number. I bought a used key on EBAY to get the FOB. I had to have the FOB married, which you don't need. I don't think you need to have the key married, but I could be wrong. I was looking for a spare key. I guess you'll know when the key arrives.

i actually did both. bought one from EEuroparts and one off Ebay. Had to provide my title and ID for EEuro. I'm hoping 1 or both options work. Will update Friday when keys come in.
