Tail light bulb size?

Finding the right bulb size for the 2008 Saab 9-5 tail light, is like pulling teeth! The bulb I have is a GE 1077F 12vp21/5w but the local shops do not have this bulb and a standard 1157 that I had laying around works but the display shows the bulb is out. I know this is because the bulb is a different resistance but can't find a proper cross reference for the tail light.
Any help on a bulb size or chart for cross referencing, would be amazing!! thanks in advance!

If you can get a bulb that works, replace both of them, with luck that will prevent the warning. The 1077 seems to be available from at least one eBay seller in your Southern neighbour. I also found other stockists in the USA.

EPC gives the P/N as 93190467 which esaabparts list. This is a GM part number so it should be available from a GM dealer.

Pretty sure this is what you need. Readily available at the regular auto retailers in the US and maybe Canadian tire too.

I ended up getting a Sylvania 7528 and it worked just fine. It stated that it was a "12v 21/5w" that worked . No more messages!

I would still recommend replacing both.
