Saab 9-3 -06 having issues starting

Hi.

I'm having some issues with my beloved Saab at the moment. Last sunday I went for a drive to pick something up, drove for maybe around an hour to get there. When I parked, half on the road, I turned the warning indicators on to alert other drivers that I am parked badly. After about 15 minutes it won't start. It just clicks.

I manage to roll start it and drive it home.

After a few days the battery is dead so I charge it overnight and today it starts. When off for a while it gets difficult to start.

What could be the issue?

It's been a couple of months since the last time I looked in on this site and hopefully you've already solved this problem, but just in case you haven't.

A 2006 is now an older car and like all older cars batteries go bad, electrical ground points get crusty and these are the quick and easy things to check and resolve, so start with battery wire connections and have your battery tested if the problem persists.

The most annoying of all problems to find and resolve are power drains from electrical contacts and computers, not the kind of problems quickly resolved by forum postings and if you don't have a volt meter find someone that has one and knows how to use it.
