2008 93 convertible - strange audio problem

Hi,

I am getting a constant clicking sound through just the right hand channel of my radio / CD (standard unit, non-BOSE). It happens when using both the radio or CD, and even occurs with the ignition is switched off and with the key removed. I thought that it must be a fault with the amplifier, so I tried a different one, but the problem remains. I have also tried additional earth wires to the amplifier with no success.

If I put my ear right up next to the speaker, I can hear a very faint sound like a motor running, but how can this be with the key removed from the ignition?

Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions?

I have solved the problem!

The connection on Pin 14 (RRSpkrOut-)on one of the head unit connectors was poor.
I had to rebuild the centre vent though after it disintegrated into pieces as I removed it - that was fun!
