'08 9-3 TTiD Turbo seized again after replacing
At the end of last year I bought a 9-3 TTiD with turbo damage. At first, of course, I was hoping that it was something else, so I checked the solenoid switches, air filter, air hoses, wastegate etc. and then unfortunately found that it really was the turbo. So I bought a used bi-turbo on Ebay and removed the old one. Lo and behold, the big turbo was seized up. I then installed my used turbo and started the car. First I let the car run at idle for about 5 minutes and then I took it for a test drive. At first my eSID showed a working wastegate, but after a short time it showed a constant 100% on the wastegate of the big turbo, as it did before the replacement. So it seems that the turbo has seized up again.
I have now ordered an original new part including the two oil lines from Neo Bros. and will replace the turbo again. However, I'm a bit worried that it could be something other than the oil line. Do you have any ideas on what I can do to prevent this happening again?
