I live in Manassas, right outside Washington DC. We can easily get over 100 in July and August. That was a particularly hot day. I had taken my son to see a movie and the car had been baking in the parking lot for a few hours. So what was really an air temperature about 105 was displayed as 120! Originally Posted by rpiereck

I've spent lots of time in VA, mostly Alexandria and Newport News. I've seen upper 90s there. 120 while baking in the sun is understandable.
