Stereo Upgrade for the Bose CenterPointe 5.1 System?
OK maybe get some traffic over here and this can be sore subject on the "other" site.
This system came out mid-year 08' MY and is an enhanced Bose system. I think the speaks are pretty good but naturally could use more power.
One of the amps is in the DS trunk area and says Bose on it. I really have no idea about this system (do know all too well the 03'-06' system though).
I'm wondering it this is just a basic GM setup and upgrading would be quite simple and relatively cheap.
Thoughts?

not sure if center-point can be updated:
-see attached links:

FAQs point 11
From a technical point of view, upgrading is not practicable. For one reason, the BOSE® CENTERPOINT® signal processing circuitry, which is required for surround sound, does not work with a classic stereo amplifier. For another, a surround system has a larger number of precisely positioned loudspeakers which would have to be installed after the system is already in place. This is usually not feasible because of insufficient space; furthermore, expenses would be inordinately high.
