Meeting of Saabs in Seattle on September 25, 2010

On September 25, 2010, Scanwest Autosport held their annual Customer Appreciation BBQ. Scanwest Autosport is an independent Saab garage in north Seattle. Around the time Saab introduced the 9-2X, which was based on largely based on the Subaru Impreza design, Scanwest started repairing Subaru cars.

Possibly 30 or more customers showed up, some bringing their unusual cars. Dan Morley, President of the Northwest Saab Owner’s Club brought his blue Saab 99. A Citroen 2CV was also there. Hamburgers and hot dogs were served as well as a drawing for a prize and there was a small sign inviting customers to take one small gift. Gift choices included Scanwest Autosport: Preserving a Classic license plate frames, Scanwest Autosport and Saab plastic pens, Saab lanyard neck strap, stickers resembling the old oval country stickers except showing the outline of a Saab 92, and key chains. National Museum Day was that same day so after meeting a few customers and Scanwest staff, as well as having a hamburger, it was off to rapidly see two museums for me.
