When I change to snow tires, I leave a tire under the car to cushion the blow even though I'm not underneath it. I am nervous about working under the car even if it is on ramps. I would like to have a garage with a pit underneath, covered by a metal grate. However, the architect told me that it couldn't be done for a house.

- No Saabs :(... Just a Forester Turbo
One thing I like about my subaru is that it has enough ground clearance so that I dont even have to jack it up.
Something in a garage like a concrete ramp that goes up a foot and a half, and levels off under each side of the car, with a 3 foot channel / gap down the middle seems do-able. then you could just slide on a board thing down the middle to do your changes, etc...

Or a barn. A family friend has an old hay barn, and the cars pull in from the driveway, but it's built on a slope so there is a natural basement from the foundation. He re-did the wood floor so you can pull out roughly a 6 ft x 3 ft section of floor boards to work on cars from underneath. He just set up a small scaffolding in the basement, and bam, working on the car.

So, I finally got around to starting on my Aero body kit paint job and I have one sideskirt sanded. How's it look like I'm doing?
I'm wet-sanding with P800 paper, and it's very smooth to the touch.I don't drive fast...I fly slow

Actual paint work is hard to tell from pictures, but I'd say your doing fine. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! It doesn't help that they're terrible pictures. My Basement doesn't have the best lighting.

This morning I was out for a ride with my motorcycle and got to a city about one hour from home. Waiting for a traffic light to go green I was distractedly looking at the ongoing cars and drivers, both class quite nondescripts and then...Bang!. An OG 9 3 with Klyngons and a stunningly beautiful woman at the wheel.
SAAB rocks!.
