Nah, it's no big deal. Actually, your posts made me try to think of a way that I could use the blaster...though I can't think of any. Hopefully I can get this thing finished up tomorrow. I tried to get it done today, but it was muggy and humid, I couldn't stand it.

bad birds
I am so irritated by birds and their bad habit.
If I wash my car, the next morning there will be at least 1 huge spot of birds respect on it.
What is really interesting is that my girlfriends Renault Clio almost never gets hit, just my 9-5.
Might it be some kind of perversity by the local seagulls and pigeons?
I hope nobody got offended by my post, I just had to write it off of me.
Do you guys have similar experience with birds, or I am just simply cursed?--profile under construction--

I'll one-up you here.
My residential area insists on operating a sprinkler irrigation system to keep the neighborhoods grass nice and green even in the hottest time of the summer. In order to not run afoul of local water usage ordinances they use well water which is VERY high in mineral content.
Every morning at 4am or so the system goes off, and there is no place in the neighborhood that is safe to park. All cars get saturated, and when the stuff dries it leaves the worst white water spots I have ever seen in my life, and they are VERY difficult to wash off. There is such a high mineral content that even the alcohol in the window wash fluid can't take it off. none of the local car washes, contact, or touch free have any effect. once it dries, the white polka-dots are back.
I have only found two things that can clean it off.
1.) A complete clean, wax and buff job, which is a two hour ordeal I can't possibly do every morning, and two
2.) Rain water. When it rains the spots disappear. I don't understand why the rain water works, when local car washes, detergents or even window wash fluid don't, but it does.
It is driving me up a wall. I just got a new shiny 2011 9-5 and it looks like crap every single day I drive it because of this stupid sprinkler system, and no one in the residential area seems to care. Apparently they value their lawns more than clean cars.
I am considering sending them a $100 detailing bill every day until it stops, but that would likely just be an exercise in futility.

They are not too difficult and are especially easy if you have a helper. They do make covers that are not supposed to scratch the paint, but I do wonder how often they need to be cleaned or how clean the car needs to be.
