I thought that was interesting. I think they should do a "least stolen cars in America" one. I bet most of us drive one of the top ten. Aren't Saab's almost impossible to steal?

I look at that list and all I see are cheap econoboxes that are produced in the millions. Saabs may be difficult to steal, but they're so uncommon that the likelihood that one will be stolen in the first place is next to nothing.. unless you're driving my car, then it would be extremely easy to steal...

I don't know, what the list show is that old(er) cars are easy to steal. They are mostly from the past decade/century/millennium
It's not that Saabs are impossible to steal, all cars can be stolen. But, when you have an Accord/Camry next to a 9-3/9-5 and you are planning to steal one to strip it down and sell the parts, I have a feeling that you will go for the easier to "unload".
I saw a special on TV the other day showing how the easiest to steal car in America is the Tahoe/Escalade/Denali/etc SUV. I don't know the year, but GM decided to go away with the steering lock because cars were not being hot-wired anymore because the electronic keys prevented that. WELL, what they do is that they break a window, get in the car, break whatever lock that the gear lever has, put it in neutral and push the car with another one. Since there is no lock on the steering they car turn freely and take the car a couple of blocks down the road to a place where they can start taking it apart.

Cars are boosted for parts, not for aesthetic value. The easier the parts are to fence, the more the car will be stolen.
