    Ha, found you all!

    Hey guys,

Finally I have signed up and am looking forward to being involved and help out the community here.

I'm currently Saabless and to be honest I miss the Saab community way more than I do the car!

I hope I fit in, be gentle with me

I'd say that he just stated many of the things that most people were already thinking about.
I just don't understand why the situation got so bad at SC. Was it a money issue? was it a time and staff issue? or just plain and simple, nobody cared?

    They were deservedly put words.

What I would hate to see though, is this forum or other forums entering some kind of a flame war with SC and the owners. I've seen that happening in other smaller forums I've been in, and it's not really cool...

Glad to see some new and familiar names here.

I think David's response was honest and what's on many other member's mind. When you build a forum community, it comes with responsibility. Just because it is 'free', meaning you don't have to pay to use it, may be good enough for some. But I think many 'pay' with their time by helping out others and moderating the forums. I'd rather help support a forum financially and have all the features we want with the latest technology than having to put up with a mediocre forum that is free.

    Wow!

I wonder what David really thinks about SC right now.

Yes, he has said things that a lot of people have thought for a very long time.
I'm not siding with anyone, but I am well aware of how life can get in the way of things ... but if that were the case, come out and say so.

Regardless, the changes at SC were needed.
Time will tell if it was "too little, too late" or not.
What isn't going to change is that SW is here ... and that SC has a wealth of information that will likely not be eclipsed by another site for many, many years.

I've been a member of SC for going on 8 years and all of the negative things there hurt.
And I've been a member of SW since the beginning and that is all good.
I hope and believe that both can coexist without too much trouble.
