I know that is a JVC head unit, but me i have change the bracket and the clarion's bracket is better integrated in the dashboard as you can see on the wulf's saab.
I will show you mine soon, you could appreciate the difference

Yes there is a gap with the bracket. I used the stock bracket and the trim piece that came with the head unit. The Clarion trim looks much better.

Here is news, I replaced the made cable ISO / RCA has tears away it by a good quality, what allowed me to connect the beam of origin live JVC on the taking of the car (exit the standard extension lead). Result probleme resolute, no more pop in the starting up.
On the other hand I lost a lot of audio power. I can push the head unit completely without any saturation, the sound is not strong of the whole below 20 on 50 we hear nothing more.
While if I connected it directly without crossing by the RCA it was too strong maxi kind in 5 on 50, the it is all the opposite, how a simple cable little to stuff all the power? Unless it is the other thing ?

Are you connecting the unamplified pre-out lines from the head unit to the amplifier or the regular speaker lines? Do not use the regular speaker wires. I did not notice any difference in volume level before or after installing the GLI's. Perhaps you have faulty GLI's?
