as you can see, the brown with grey and white wire ise the ISO/RCA, connect to the Saan genuine wire.
The black one is the the one which come from the JVC ahead unit.
    Is there any mistake ?

unbelievable instructions,I tried 2 "stereo installation shops" and they said it couldnt be done,i would have to buy a 5 channel amp because i had the harmon kardon system and there were no install kits.well, when all else fails,GOOGLE,thats where i found your instructions, followed step by step and the look and sound is just amazing.thanks so much for sharing this with the saab fans.i will post pics soon.

This is Excellent Wulf! I think I may not have to buy an amp after all; just will have to buy the Metra harness in order to wire a sound card into the car's amp.

As long as you have a way to turn on the amp, it seems it should work with a carputer as well. It'll be interesting to see how that will work out.

Very nice Write Up... I have a few questions for you and wiring, when you did your radio wiring harness how did you wire the constant and switched 12v. Did you just color connect? I can not get my aftermarket radio remember radio stations/time/audio settings ect. ect... I was told to switch the red and yellow wires. that didn't help then I ran a cable directly from the battery to the wiring harness, and that didn't help either. any suggestions?

    Welcome!

I used the yellow wire from the Metra harness for the constant as described in post 4 of this thread: http://saabworld.net/f29/double-din-...bt-84/#post306

I used the headlight switch for the switched power connection as described in post #8. I didn't use the switched power from the regular radio wiring harness.

You can turn the ignition to the ON position without having the engine running but this bad for the ignition and other engine parts. What we need is a wire that is powered when the ignition is in the OFF position.

That’s where the green wire from the headlight switch comes in. It has +12V when the key is in the OFF, ON and START position and 0V when in the LOCK position. So the OFF position in the Saab 9-5 becomes the ACC position found on many other vehicles.
