Any idea why it does this?

How's the visbility from say google?

I typed "2001 Saab 9-5" into google search and saabnet classifieds comes up as #6 result - page 1, 2, and 3 results - SC shows up on page 4. No Saabworld coverage yet.

I don't know and I can spend days going through the code and trying to figure it out. Much easier to pay for different software and have their tech support answer these question and assist with fixing problems.

Software has been uninstalled. Too bad because it was pretty close. But just not good enough.

Photopost seems to be better for SEO as well. I placed the order and hopefully can install later this evening when I receive download details.

The new photopost classifieds has been installed and all registered users should be able to upload ads.

I am still trying to figure out the categories to make it the best global Saab classifieds system. And it is more difficult than it sounds!

All these categories are not needed when there isn't much listed in there yet. But if there are 100s of ads in the system and you're only interested in Saab 9-3's for sale in the United Kingdom, these categories make it much much easier to find.

There also many, many options to customize the software so it will take a while to make everything perfect. Feel free to start using the Classifieds with real or test classifieds and please report any problems or make suggestions.

The Classifieds section hasn't been used much, primarily because we don't have that many members yet. How about adding a section for non-Saab/automotive items? We can set a rule for having a minimum number of posts on the forum or minimum time you have to be a member before you can post. This prevents spammers from posting or people becoming members just to post in this section.

Agreed - sounds good. I do like the section - nice easy to read ads, but like you said, not enough traffic yet.

I added it to the North America section last week and is called Garage sale. The software currently doesn't allow setting minimum number of posts or member time permissions. So we just have to see how it goes and perhaps add a rule for posting in that section. I guess the only thing we have to worry about is spammers who sign up just to post in there. We'll just have to see how it goes.

I was thinking that... but nowhere did it say "Other Ads" or something like that.

Perhaps that should be disabled. Doesn't really serve a purpose.
