After the Russian invasion, we should expect and welcome some new Dutch visitors. I contacted the admins of saabforum.nl and they were kind enough to allow a thread letting their members know about SW.

Two variants of the upper part of the site. quickly painted as seen. Unfortunately, I do not have the original font SAAB had to use Arial. at the second version, the text is meant as a cloud of tags, you can write in different languages, thereby emphasizing international and multilingual this forum
maybe we can start a new topic and discuss the design of the site while he was still not as popular?Last edited by Nickolay; 29 August 2010 at 20:10.

It's not allowed to use an official company logo on these kind of enthusiast sites. I like the header as small as possible because it will be easier to navigate on devices with smaller displays (i.e. netbooks) and it limits scrolling down on every page. The header the forum is using now is a PNG image with transparent background. Other types of headers will require a more extensive site modification.

I'm pretty satisfied with the look right now.

While searching for "saab forum" doesn't show SW anywhere near the top yet, other threads are getting good results.
A few examples on Google:
saab 9-3 oil change instructions
saab 9-3 dash speakers
saab 9-5 atf change
saab 9-5 drop oil pan
saab pdf brochure
Smart use of words in the thread title (which automatically is added to the URL) seems to be important for the search engines.
Not bad for a site that's only 2 months old.
