You’re correct. But as noted in the text, they converted it to look like a 1994 CS model as part of the restoration.

A 1988 model? looks more like a 1990s version of the 9000 (facelifted). 1988 9000 would have a bigger/ squarish headlamp, with the side lights housing both side indicator and small light.

This is very similar to the 6-wheel 9000 the Cameo Films used for shooting some grate shots at the 2007 anniversary in Sweden. They also had a “For Sale” sign on it and I wonder what happened to it?

Almost as cool as the Mercedes racing transporter built in the 1950s:
