Saab Automobile AB Bankruptcy
On December 19th 2011 the District Court of Vänersborg placed SAAB Automobile Aktiebolag, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB into receivership. Two lawyers have been appointed as receivers: Hans Bergqvist from Delphi in Göteborg and Anne-Marie Pouteaux from Wistrand in Göteborg. This team is now responsible for Saab Automobile and are exploring all future options for the company, including the possibility of a partial or complete sale of the business. The receivers have met a number of parties which have expressed their interest in a possible acquisition of part or all of the business.
Ongoing provision of parts and servicing
Owners of Saab vehicles around the world should know that the existing network of Saab Authorised repairers is still available to offer service and maintenance for Saab vehicles. The supply of replacement parts also continues, with Saab Parts AB in Sweden remaining outside the bankruptcy of the vehicle manufacturing business and continuing to trade as normal. For service or parts requests owners can find their nearest authorised repairer by using the locator tool available on www.saab.com.
Further Information
The receivers have set up a website - http://www.konkursboet.se - where they will make further information about the progress of the bankruptcy proceedings available as appropriate.
