If you always wanted your own Saab race car to play around with or participate in SCCA or other motor sport events, this may be your chance. JL Racing from Ontario, Canada is offering two Saab 9-3 for sale, together with many spare parts, engines and extra car body.

On Saturday, February 19th, Saab owners from (Club SAAB España) will be meeting in the historic city of Santiago de Compostela, in northwestern Spain.
That city is the end of a historic pilgrimage route that many Christians follow. The Saab rally starts at 10 a.m. at the Hotel Puerta del Camino in Santiago. There will be a breakfast and also a briefing. The rally will continue to Costa da Morte. After a break, it will eventually head back to Santiago where tasty Galician stew will be served for lunch. 150 km of driving is planned so full fuel tanks at the start, please! The cost is €30, including meals and entrance fees. The deadline for registration is February 11th!

The first Saab 9-4X crossover to be commercially produced has now rolled off the assembly line at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
Saab Automobile President & CEO Jan Åke Jonsson was on hand to see regular production begin, just three months after the 9-4X was unveiled last November at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Jonsson was joined by Executive Director Vehicle Lines Anders Svensson and 9-4X Product Manager Mikael Jacobsson.

Saab Belgium invited a few journalists from the Autofans.be website to experience the Saab Arctic Adventure. The article is in Dutch but Google does a pretty good job in translating.
Three days at a remote location in Lapland with low temperatures of -30 Celsius may not sound inviting to many but seems to be the perfect environment for this experience. Dogsleds, snowmobiles and a stay at the ice hotel are all part of the program. And of course there are Saabs. There was a fleet of Saab 9-5 and 9-3X available for the select group of people to drive on a frozen lake and really test the XWD system.

This is a very unique Saab 96 for sale in Sweden. Asking price is SEK 80,000 which converts to US$ 12,300/EUR 9,100. The ad description shows it is a custom job done in the 1970s and built in Umeå, Sweden. It seems to be a 2-seater with perhaps a small storage area behind the seats.

The March issue of Glamour magazine is featuring an advertorial which highlights the new Saab 9-4X and Jason Castriota, design director of Saab.
Saab also added this behind-the-scenes video to Youtube. That's one good-looking model! The girl is not too bad either.

Leftlane News is showing the first pictures of Hirsch-modified Saabs at the Chicago Auto Show. Especially the 9-3 looks particularly good in a dark color with the Hirsch modifications. The US market has been waiting for Hirsch for a long time and hopefully they will make pricing available soon.

The 9-3 boasted a Hirsch carbon fiber bodykit, unique alloy wheels, an exhaust system and a leather-wrapped dashboard and center console, as well as a unique flat-bottom steering wheel. The 9-5, Saab’s newest model currently on the market, wasn’t quite as heavily modified, but it did have a few tuning features like a new exhaust and leather center console trim.
