Short Shifter Suggestions

I'm really enjoying my new 9-3 SportCombi, but I think I'm going to have to make mods to the shifter. The other car is a Miata, and this shifter is about as opposite as it gets. The throws are long with notchy popping feelings as the gears engage. I'm hoping a short shifter may help.

I've seen the options on genuinesaab.com including some mounting bushings. Anyone have experience with this or any other short shifters?

you are under warranty, this modification may void it.

Thanks for the useful link. Bummed you have to do some hacking to make the shifter work. I'll wait for a few more guinea pigs to try this mod first.

I like the car like is it with no modifications at all.
- but for you is a good choice to wait until the warranty expire.
