The WIS and manufacturer sites like Osram specify the D1S for model year 2006 and up.

I'm pretty sure that all 9-5's with bi-xenon headlights use D1S.
What I'm saying is that there is another model of bulb out there called the D1R (at least there is a D2S and D2R).
If that is the case, then if someone tried to put a D1R into a 9-5, it would not fit.
btw, I have 2 D1S bulbs (5000K) ordered from DDM Tuning in the US.
Waiting for them to arrive to swap bulbs.
Given that they sell for $50 per pair, I am very curios of the brand and quality.

I have bought a couple sets of bulbs on eBay for my 2 saabs at about $50.00 and they are terrific. Been going a couple of years
