Taillight wiring?
I am trying to help a coworker with his 03 9-5 3.0t ARC. The left taillight has a bulb that does not work. The bulb itself is fine. We've replaced the taillight module, but it did not change the situation. Of the three bulbs on the module, it's the lower right bulb. Any time the lights are turned on, fuse #3 will blow. It's labeled Left Rear Parking Lights. The brake lights work fine. I'm assuming there's a short somewhere. Does anyone have a wiring diagram relating to the driver side dash fuse panel and left rear taillight?

Because of the hinging at the trunk, the wires often break. Open the trunk and pull back the protective wire covering at the left side and solder the wires back together.
EDIT: found this picture....

Ooh, that looks promising. But I have one question. It is the fender mounted taillight that isn't working properly. Will the trunk lid harness issue cause the fender mounted taillight to fail?

The Saab lighting system is pretty finicky, so I would think it could play some role.
Also, check your grounds. Popping a fuse could be from a poor ground.

Where are the associated grounds?

Not sure off-hand. do you happen to have a wiring diagram you could look at? I can always check mine when I get home and let you know.

Oh, my coworker put in a 25 amp fuse (normal fuse is 10 amp) and it holds. I told him that's not a good idea and to take it out. But does that tell you anything specific?
