Stuck Shifter
Hi
I have a 2004 9-5T, auto trans, and my shifter has been staying locked in park. I press the break pedal, the break lights go on, but the electromagnet won't release the shit lock. So I need to push the manual release button to get out of park. It happens somewhat intermittently but more so in the cold weather as far as I can tell. I was curious if anyone has had any experience fixing this themselves, ideas of what to look for as far as a loose connections or a way to disable the lock so I don't need to push the manual release every time. Plus any pictures of the repair would help a lot if someone has done this before.
Thank you.

It sounds like it is the shift-lock magnet as described in the WIS instructions: Saab 9-5 shift-lock electromagnet.pdf
I looked around in a parts diagram but can't seem to find it. But I am not exactly sure what I am looking for.
