Agreement with BMW - Victor Muller in hospital in NY?
This was reported in the Dutch Press today.

-----------------------------
Munich -The contract would be signed in September, may be delayed because Saab's CEO Victor Muller is in the hospital.
The German publication Auto Motor und Sport reported that Saab will sign a contract next month for buying diesel engines from BMW.
The engines, including transmissions, will be used in the Saab 9-4X, as well as future 93 models. By using engines and transmissions from BMW, Saab wants to break ties with GM.
Whether the agreement is concluded in the short term, it may depend on the recovery of Victor Muller. He is currently in a New York hospital where he underwent surgery. The busy businessman should be resting for at least three weeks.

I haven't found the original story on www.auto-motor-und-sport.de yet. The BMW agreement was also reported on autoblog.nl but it doesn't mention anything about Muller undergoing surgery.

Victor Muller, CEO of luxury car maker Spyker underwent gall bladder surgery in an American hospital on Thursday, he told the Dutch news service ANP.
"It is not a big deal and I can go home today" Muller said. He is currently in a hospital in Southampton were he had the surgery. He said it is not going to affect his work but he has to take it slow for a while.

Apparently, he'll be on his way to Pebble Beach soon where the Concours d'Elegance will start in 3 days.Last edited by nordwulf; 12 August 2010 at 19:01.

It still seems a better choice than the Fiat diesels. Perhaps we'll see a 9-4X diesel in North America?
