Rare 1998 Saab 9000 CSE hatchback, with a low 82k miles. Only 1300 1998 9000's were imported to this country as it is the last and best of the 9000 model cars. 1998 9000's come with the powerful Aero engine as standard as well as all the luxury items made for the car such as power leather seats, windows, locks, mirrors, cruise, auto climate control alloys, CD player, ABS brakes, heated seats, trip computer. "Even in standard 175bhp Turbo form, the 9000 was a quick machine – especially in the mid-range. But those sporting Swedes wanted to build a high performance flagship, and honoured legendary works rally driver Erik Carlsson by naming its go-faster model after him. Visual alterations were subtle, but the 200bhp upgrade resulted in vivid acceleration, with which the lowered and stiffened suspension sometimes struggled to cope. The last few Carlssons produced in 1992 were fitted with 2.3-litre 225bhp engines, and were capable of cracking 150mph and 0-60mph in under 6 seconds."


This Saab is in excellent condition breezing thru a 2000+ mile journey home without a problem. I would not hesitate to have you drive it anywhere. The exterior is in pretty good shape with the exception of the front bumper which shows the rock chips from the 166k mileage. Additional pictures can be emailed as requested.


The following list highlights items that may or may not be visible in the pictures.

*The headliner needs to be replaced- I chose to leave it as is because you may want to put suede or a material and color of your choosing- The door cards will also need to be addressed to match
*The center armrest as with all has some fading on the top-
*The wooden dash has developed cracks over the years. All pieces are still attached, and a professionally shop could fix it to 1000%
*The Driver's seat has the upper back lumbar knob missing- the seat is firm and functions just fine
*One wheel has a center cap that is peeling
*The front air dam will need repainting if you want a perfect car- there are a million rock chips on it, and a slight scratch on the drivers side- no cracks or breaks
*The passenger seat pocket is stretched- this is a natural occurrence, but quite an eye soar
*Slight rust spot in the spare wheel compartment- quarter size where the drain is
*The engine and transmission function 100%, but there is some seeping and it is moist underneath
*There is also some oil present around the distributor and upper valve cover area
*Service history owner notebook and documents also available


Now for some positive additions-
*Tires are matching, balanced, and relatively new Good Year 205-55-15 with a lot of thread life left - The wheels also have the dust cover inserts to protect the rims
*The rear colorful decor panel is not welcome by all, so included is a brand new gray insert with the airflow insignia as a swap option
*The AC works on the warm side especially on hot days so a re-charge is in order-R12 cans will be included in the sale
*You can choose between rubber or original cloth floor mats
*Front fog lights come with Carlsson covers
*Car comes with the original 9000 factory Car Cover
*Car has the optional rear shade for hatchbacks
*Comes with extra key, factory cutout, plastic number tag, original certificate of origin, and many other brochures and paperwork.

Please note that the car is not registered so it cannot be driven except around the block etc. The title is in the previous (original) owner's name. The reason for this is that I was waiting for it to be eligible for historical tags- in New York its 25+ years, but each state differs. Now that I am selling you can either be the 2nd or 3rd owner depending on your preference, and I will work with and discuss it in more detail with the winner.
A $500 Paypal deposit is due at the close of the auction and is non refundable.

@ $1825 and it's got about 15hours to go. Someone bid this car over $2000 already and keep me from getting a divorce! lol It's killing me it's close, and cheap and so damn nice.

Something seems a bit fishy about that title still in the previous owners name. Here in Michigan, you'll have to transfer titles within 2 weeks or you'll get a penalty. And I am sure you can transfer a title without getting tags or license plate. But that may be different in NY.

I hope for the sake of your marriage, it'll go higher than $2000. Well, at least there is enough space in the SaabWorld Garage for many more Saabs.

As long as that title is signed in the right place it won't matter in Pa. Out of state titles are easier transactions then in state ones. No proof needed from the seller for out of state titles.
