Draining coolant
I seem to have some non-OEM radiator (the car was in an accident by the PO), so the petcock for the radiator is underneath it, but above the frame of the car. So I can't get to it. Where is the next best place to disconnect a hose to drain the coolant? It's a 2.0 turbo.

I used compressed air to blow the coolant out into catch bottles. Clean and quick - and you can re-use the coolant if you need to. Gets about 80% of it out that way.

The best way to drain the coolant is by disconnecting the big diameter coolant hose, next to the turbo, and water pump. To be sure you get all the coolant out, you can also disconnect the hose that's situated next to the thermosat, and blow compressed air into it.
