squeaky noise when releasing clutch until warm? any ideas?
2001 95 2.3 linear, when my car isn't warm (at startup until motor is warm) there is a loud irritating squeaky/squeal sound as i release the clutch....135k miles not sure if clutch Is the original or not as I recently bought it. any help would be greatly appreciated...thx!
it doesn't sound like it's the actual pedal sounds like is coming from outside, like the actual clutch or flywheel....thx

Is the clutch working fine otherwise? At 135K miles, it may be ready for a new clutch if it has never been done before.

I would first remove the belt and then test it. There is a spring above the clutch pedal. I know releasing the clutch creates load and that can influence the pulleys etc, but I dont recall it ever being referred to as a squeak.
